Why Selling Is The Greatest Expression Of Love

Jason Campbell giving a talk at Afest

Mindvalley is known today for its amazing product quality when it comes to personal growth online education products. What may come as a surprise to some is that Mindvalley started as a sales organisation selling personal growth products.

In our very DNA, we still have a high respect for the sales process involved in getting people to learn about us and our products, turning these people into customers, and finally, making them raving fans after their purchase.

Yet many people still associate the word “sales” with a very negative connotation.

Have you ever had the thought, “selling is crap, it’s only a necessary evil to get what you want”? Or maybe you’ve been put in a situation where, when you sold a product or service, instead of genuinely providing more value than the price, you just took something from the other person — leaving you with a feeling of disgust?

You are not the only one. When I gave a talk at A-Fest Croatia called, “Selling is the greatest expression of Love,” people were quite skeptical about what exactly was about to happen. To the surprise of many, it turned out to be one of the highest-rated talks of the event. And it even starts with a very bold, sales-y promise.

“Shift your mindset about selling, and you instantly unleash an amazing superpower that will empower you to get everything you truly deserve — NOW,” I tell the audience.

What you are going to learn in this video of my talk at A-Fest:

  • A concept called “Fundamental Attribution Error.” This accounts for the majority of the negative encounters with salespeople that may have left you feeling uneasy. When you realize that the whole scene actually wasn’t about you, you can finally be able to let go of self-imposed limitations to your own life.
  • A completely new formula to define what sales is (hint: it has much to do with energy). When you use this definition and apply a mindset of love and care, it will do wonders to you.
  • At the end of the video, you’ll experience a meditation exercise to help you get over limiting beliefs about sales.

As Mindvalley grows, we never forget that behind every customer, there was a purchase experience. We want to make sure we serve everyone, customers or not, with the best content and the best experience. This is how selling with love fuels the growth of this organisation.

And if you are a salesperson or run a business, know that if you always sell with love, the results are wonderful as well.
